My name is Harris Choo and I am the business owner. I have been surrounded by music from a young age. I started music in high school on oboe, and later studied clarinet and saxophone. Oboe was the main instrument I decided to pursue, and I received a full scholarship to Seoul National University. I was the principal oboist in the broadcast orchestra. I started making my own oboe reeds in high school to achieve the highest quality sound that I desired. It has now been 30 years since I have been making oboe reeds as well as handmade wooden reed cases. After graduating from Seoul National University, I came to America to attend Indiana University for my Master's in oboe performance. I studied under Marc Lifschey in Indiana and took a master class with Ray Still in Chicago. I further went on to study oboe performance at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. In 1996, Dr. Nancy King encouraged me to try selling my oboe reeds to Midwest Musical Imports because she liked my sound. This marked the beginning of my business and Midwest Musical Imports continue to be loyal patrons.

Orders are generally shipped on the same day or the next business day unless there is a problem, such as inventory out of stock which rarely happens. If we are out of stock on the item you ordered, we will contact you right away. After we ship the item, allow 2-5 working days for delivery via USPS. Time will vary depending upon the carrier and the distance. We will try our best, but we are not responsible or obligated to make a delivery by a specific time or date. After we ship the product, we assume no liability for damage, delay in delivery, or inability to fill the order.
REFUNDS and AFTER SERVICE POLICY:
We are happy to accept returns with 100% refunds except shipping charge. Merchandise must be received within 30 days of invoicing. When merchandise is returned for a refund, it must be in the original condition. If the merchandise has some damage, we cannot give a 100% refund. We cannot give any refunds after 30 days of purchase.
All Return Freight should be prepaid by customer. Under this condition, we will repair or replace merchandise free of charge.
Special Order items and Custom Orders are not returnable under any conditions.
